Just curious if anyone here has directly dealt with Intel Confidential Engineering Samples before?

I just had a few general questions about how they are acquired from Intel, how much they cost, etc.

If anyone can legitimately help me out by answering a few questions (by e-mail, or PM), I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks guys.

A guy I speak to who works In the Ireland fab got handed unlocked northwoods and he said it hit 4 Ghz easy.

Slightly off topic but I think Intel workers just get them for free.

I work for a smallish OEM and we get Intel Confidential cpu's sent to us.

I have a couple of Irwindale samples in my possesion atm, but I can't say that I directly deal with Intel when aquiring them.

However I could find out how we get them/if there's a cost etc.

They tend to be multi unlocked as well going from previous examples.

No, they just give us the chip, we have to get the cooling ourselves. As for the original posters question, I have no idea, they don't give them out to just anyone, and if you do get one selling it is not legal.
