Anybody heard of "Jettis"?

I have two charges of around $50 apiece on my CC that I can't explain. They're from a company called Jettis (866-812-8723).

I called the number, they say they can't look anything up right now & to call back later.

Anybody have any idea who these guys do billing for?

Appears to be fraud, "trials" for AmateurBitch & Cybersexotica that turned into monthly renewals. At least they had good taste.

Jettis is the billing agency for the sites. Took me a few hours to get ahold of them (their "systems were down"), they didn't quite seem to believe me when I said that I hadn't joined the sites. They even asked what my member ID for the site was. :| I had to request a supervisor just to get the date & time of the transaction, & they wouldn't give me the IP address or registered e-mail on the account. :| They're going to be issuing a charge back to my card, & I've filed a fraud report with my CC company.

Out of all the times I've tripped my CC company's "fraud detectors," using my card like I normally do you'd think they'd notice something like this.

The only way I'm paying $100 for porn is if it's Britney Spears & the Olsen twins in a threesome.

I had similar experience with a company called jet charge. They had charged my credit card twice for a membership to some porn site. When I called to complain that it was an unauthorized charge they tried to blame my son, who is only 14 and not legal to charge or join those porn sites. Their exact words were.."do you have a son?" Amazing how quick they reversed those charges when I reminded them that it is illegal to sell porn to minors.

they are a billing company for websites and are one of our competitors. Albiet they are small.

Might not be the same place, I'm pretty sure the CC rep said "jet charge" but when I called them back & asked for spelling they said Jettis...

I'll call my CC company back & ask for their spelling.

Advice for anyone who signs up to a site under a trail or monthly membership. Unless you cancel or you are 100% sure it is a one time billing, then you will continue to be charged for the service weather you use it or not. Alsways be sure to call and cancel these things. Also always keep the confirmation email you recieve on the cancelation just in case something happens you happened to be billed again wrongly.

Normally I'm very good at using one time use numbers with limits ($5 typically) for trials, the only thing I can figure is that somehow a one time use number got hosed when my card got bought out by BankOne.

If that's the case, I'm going to be PISSED...

[EDIT]Just checked the only trial I've used recently, it doesn't match these charge amounts (I used a one time number anyway, but I had to check).[/EDIT]
