anybody heard anything about the Abit AX8?

This board is Abit's socket 939 PCI express offering based on the VIA K8T890 chipset. I am interested because I want to build a new system on one of the new 90nm Winchester AMD 64's. But I am finding very little in the way of reviews and such on it. Is it still too new? Anybody heard anything on this mobo?

The board is not out yet. A place called UnitedMicro claimed to have stock, but it was a mistake. When I called to cancel my order last week, they said they would have them in stock this week. It looks like it will be a nice board when it finally arrives. A Froogle search turns up nothing new.

D'oh! I guess that would explain a lot. Although if you go to the Abit website they have it listed there under their motherboards products section with the little animated NEW banner flying next to it. I just assumed that meant it was out already. I guess that would also explain why I was unable to download the user manual for it. Hmm, I'll be looking for this one. I guess I'm mainly interested in knowing how the VIA K8T890 chipset upon which the board is based fares in tests. Maybe I'll have to be the guinea pig. . .such is life.
