there doesn't seem to be a manual for the card... i can't seem to get sound through the hdmi cable...

am i wrong that the idea is that you loop the sound back from the spdif on the pc into the video card and it should be carried to the tv via the hdmi cable???

i can get audio out of the spdif coax out...

the mobo is the hitachi k8n clone from aa while back...

 
I believe that you're supposed to use an SPDIF optical rather than coax with passthrough hdmi cards (although I wouldn't sware to this).
