In a behavioral interview they will ask questions based on your past experience to demonstrate a certain skill. For example if they want to test your social skills at work they ask: Describe a situation when you had to confront a coworker.
test your honesty: tell me about a time you had to bend the rules.
Problem solving. tell me about a time you solved a problem and walk me through your though process step by step on how you solved it.
My problem is that i have only worked for about 9 months now, and approximately 4 of those can count as real tech job. Most of the situation they ask me to describe I have not encountered yet and obviously if I say no I have never encounter such a situation, that that won't be very good because they will think u are lying or just inexperienced. I am currently gunning for one of the big five consulting firms and am preselected to all of their first round interviews and have advanced to some second rounds too. But whenever they use a behavioral interview, I will not pass that interview. Is there a way around it or should i just give up because i know all of them will use at least one of their interview rounds to ask behavioral questions.
