Anybody have problems with posts getting removed on Craigslist?

I've been trying to sell my old TV for a few weeks now. Everytime I post it, it gets flagged for removal. I've contacted Craiglist support but haven't gotten any response back.

My post is hand typed and contains a few photos I took in my living room. I can't figure out why it's getting flagged.

Hmm. Can you provide the body, title, and price of your post?

Going to be hard to say without that.

Excuse me, I forgot to ask: what category?

I assume your just posting it in Electronics, correct? Hmmm. Well, here we have a TV in your city with similar specs, a bit higher priced, that has been running for a week: http://austin.craigslist.org/ele/3684033050.html

I'm not seeing anything too egregious about your ad tbh, how many times did it get flagged?

I'm not too sure how Craigslist works. Does removal happen based on automatic algorithms or user flagging or both? Is it possible that users are just flagging my post because they think it competes with theirs?

Nope, I just have issues with fucking idiots making offers I clearly am not interested in.

No, it takes multiple flags from the Craiglist community to remove an ad. I guess I should ask, seeing that you seem unfamiliar with Craigslist, are you sure that your ad was flagged off? If so, you will receive an e-mail in your inbox from Craigslist stating "Your ad xxx was flagged and removed."

When my ads have been flagged I did receive e-mail notification.

If the OP didn't receive an e-mail then it was probably systematically blocked?

just a couple of months ago, was trying to sell some pitbull puppies and was constantly getting flagged. treated it as a game, as soon as I saw it it was flagged I would post another ad with almost the same text and pics asking for a 'rehoming' fee. sometimes they would stay up for a couple of hours before they were knocked down.

That is because you aren't allowed to sell pets on craigslist.

This. If you're competing with someone (offering a similar item at a lower price) they'll flag your listing as spam from multiple machines and accounts. Jerks.

Takes more than one flag to get a post down. BUT, if you repost with too similar of stuff, after a post has been taken down, I believe their software now picks up on that & removes it.

Wow, so much fail in this thread. Especially the guy trying to sell pit bull puppies. What a loser.

Stop posting in casual encounters.

You can't sell animals on craigslist per the rules.
