Does anyone have more info on these:
1) Intel says the Itanium 2 will be released mid-2002 but not in the 2nd quarter. So that probably means about an August release date. Any rumors on a better date?
2) Itanium 2 should be 50% to 100% faster than Itanium (even faster with recompiled code). What kind of speed improvements will the recompiling give?
3) Will the Itanium 2 be in the same $1000-$4000 price range?
4) Will Intel stick with the 2MB and 4MB cache?
