Anybody have experience with Neweggs Online RMA?

My mobo is defective and of course it's pass working hours so I was about to submit it online. Anybody have any experience with it who can share? Thanks.

I've done it, pretty painless. I prefer the online RMA over doing it on the phone because you don't have to wait for a CS rep to become avaiable. Just follow the instructions and you'll be all good.

Fifthed. Newegg got their good rep the hard way; they earned it. I've returned at least three things that I can remember that were defective. No probs and I had my card refunded w/i 14 days. 🙂

Newegg has awesome online RMA's and stuff.

I will worn you though, they are terribly slow sending stuff back. I RMA'd my motherboard, and it took about two weeks AFTER they sent a confermation that they recieved it to send me a new one.

I currently have a UPS with battery backup type thing that was DOA that I sent in to be RMA'd, and it has been over a MONTH since I got a confermation that they recieved it, and they still haven't sent out a replacement.

As long as you don't need it fast, newegg is good with RMA's.

On an offnote, is it bad to keep my CPU plugged into a mobo and stored in a anti-static bag? I have no place to put it and thought that might be the best place for it until the new mobo arrives.

How long does it generally take for them to ship the item back to you once they receive your package? I know they say 2-3 days on their site, but I want some personal input also.

sixthed? 😛 yeah, follow the simple instructions, it's easy and, like with the original purchases, Newegg is quick about it. Only thing is you have to pay return shipping.

Edit: Dunno about your 2 week mobo RMA, maybe they were out of stock? They've handled my two RMAs within a week.

It's pretty painless, they send you updates on its status by email, but, so far, they've usually sent me another bad unit as a replacement and it may take five or six RMAs before you actually get one that works.
