eh, you're a bit biased then. I've had some service hiccups from Comcast, but overall I think I'm getting fairly good service outta them

I just see what kind of service my friends have and it makes me VERY happy to have DirecTV (with TIVO of course;))

No problem, I don't take my clothes off for less than $20, though. ;)

You don't have long to wait- they just started offering it here in Boston this week.

The 6412 has two high-definition tuners. So you can record two high definition shows simultaneously while watching a saved show off the harddrive.

I have a DVR from Time Warner here in Charlotte, and it's WELL worth the $6.95 a month extra to have a DVR digital box. If you can swing the $10 a month, I highly recommend it. It's nice having it record all of the shows you want to watch, because you can catch up on the weekend, and you can fast forward straight through the commercials.

I like having it record just the first runs of my favorite shows (CSI, W/o a Trace, King of Queens) so that I don't watch repeats all the time :)

Which is why I want it. It's going to be sweet to record shows, then invite people over to watch them in HD later on :D
