Anybody have any luck with O/Cing Asus P5A and K6-2 550?

This is my first system to build and find it kinda fun. I've got a Dell P3 500 but I sure like tinkering with the K6. Has anyone had any success with overclocking? Would like to try it but if no one has had any good results then I won't try. Oh, got the board and cpu for free.

AFAIK, the 550's were the top speed that amd produced the k6-2's in. k6-2's never overclocked well, so if you try, don't expect much. but yes, it may be able to be done. i'd put a large hs/f on though, they kick out alot of heat :Q
good luck! 🙂

I never had luck, i had a K6-2 450 and the MOST i could get was 500, 2.7V, lots of circulation, and it still wasn't stable, poor overclocking CPU and Yes i was using a P5A

it would do 475 at 95 BUS but who cares the lower BUS speed just makes it slower!
