Anybody have any experience with Sager Notebooks?

Yes, I have one that's three years old and it works great. I haven't had any problem that weren't user induced.😀

i've had one this summer and was so great. i would have kept it if i had any use for it.

Sager makes pretty decent laptops from what i know.

Some people here don't like them for various reasons... whether or not they've actually had personal experience is another thing. It's all I knew a guy who had one and hated it or my boss's friend said he had this go wrong...

They're the same PCs that Alienware uses for their gaming laptops... you can get pretty good deals on them at places like Discountlaptops.com About $500-$1000 cheaper than an identical alienware system. 😉

can't say I've heard of them, check out dell refurbs

Dell and Toshiba are the two other contenders.

Thanx Quixfire, It's hard to believe that they've been around so long with such a serious lack of reviews. I guess word of mouth is working for them. Edit[/]My friend just called sager and they said they've been is business for 15 years. Doing nothing but notebooks.

It looks like
Power Notebooks.com sells Sager's and PowerPro notebooks and with a lifetime rating of 10 @ 312 reviews I'd say somebody's doing something right.

Overall product replacement service, 6 reviews = 9.58 rating. Looks good here also.

Looking for more feedback from actual owners. Thanks again.

At the time I was looking for a laptop, I asked my friend who service laptops in Ann Arbor to recommend a good company. He recommend Micron, I think, and Sager. The Micron computer was around 3K for what I was looking for. A similar equipped Sager was $1600, so I chose it. He said, that out of all the laptop's he worked on, those were the only two brands that never needed any repairs. Plus he was using a Sager himself for gaming, and mine does a very good job at that it's self.

make sure the proc is marked as mobile

Interesting point, I'll be sure to inquire about that.

Thanks for the other replies.
