I downloaded MSC's version and am pondering installing it over my current RH7.2 install...but I was also looking at Gentoo's and I also have Suse 7.3 that I've played around with a little.
From what I gather... MSC's and Gentoo distros allow install/setup with ReiserFS or one of a couple JFS or XFs, which I'm particularly interested in. Also, MSC optimized the kernel during compile for HPC (high performance computing) and rigorously tested their distro (with zero glitches) with many major computational programs such as there own PATRAn/NASTRAn products as well as many, many others. But until I hear from a living person, it's all hersey to me.
I know even less about Gentoo but some of their stuff looks really nice...the person who referred me to Gentoo said that he thought the distro was extremely "tight" and performed very well.
Any help??🙂
