Like sooo many others on this forum, I'm considering buying a new laptop.
I've been looking at a couple ASUS models on newegg this x2 and this core 2 duo. I know there is a pretty significant difference in CPU power, but I don't think I would really feel the difference that much. My main question is how much of a difference is there between the Nvidia 7600 and x1700? I've been surfing around for a while and can't find a decent mobile graphics review.
 
The x1700 is just a die shrink of the x1600, so it runs cooler and uses less power, but offers no performance gain I believe. That being said, the 7600go and x1700 should be pretty much on par with each other performance-wise.

Personally I'd go with the C2D notebook for the faster processor alone.
