I'll let you in on a secret.

When I was in my late teens and twenties, I was all up in arms over the Religious Right, their agenda, and how scary it was.

Then I matured, and took stock of what was the biggest danger to my freedoms and rights. I noted that although the RR made a LOT of noise, they got surprisingly little done. I noted I had not lost a single freedom to them.

The same cannot be said of the socialist left and nanny-staters in this country.

Ditto except that I am now leaning back towards the left...or should I say I am still in the center but the right has gone waaaay too far right and they are becoming a danger to my freedoms and rights as well.

I have an increasing dislike of religious conservatives.
