I'm considering buying the hobbyzone aerobird 3 r/c plane and was wondering if anyone has specific experience with it.

Can the zx10 transmitter be connected to a PC via usb cable to use with FMS or other flight simulators?

I'm brand new to r/c planes, so would also like to know how people like it and if it's suitable for a newbie.
Everything I've read on r/c plane forums indicates is a good beginner plane.

Also, with my location i'm quite worried about losing the plane into unrecoverable terrain (water) -- so I want to have a bit of sim experience before I fly it. Is it compatible with any of the usb cables available for other transmitters?

I'm also considering the mini super cub, per some pm's from funboy -- but would like to keep costs as low as possible until i know i like the hobby. I can find the aerobird 3 for less and parts are easy to get and cheap.

thanks

go to your local airfield and make some friends. the learning curve can be prohibitive. I would say not to expect much from a cheap model. some things just dont fly well.
