Those are horrible. Get a CR2 or 123A powered light and store it without worry. :)

Nope, but I have 40 CR123A batteries and 3 flashlights that take them. Also a pretty good sized collection of AA and AAA batteries and flashlights that take them.

Just wondering if a regular flashlight with extra batteries is good enough for the average disaster.

For the same money you could get yourself a Brinkman Maxfire LX ($17 at Target) and 20 CR123A batteries from BatteryStation (with candlepowerforums discount - $1 apiece). The CR123As have a shelf life of 10 years, and the Brinkman Maxfire LX is comparable to SureFire G2.
