Production of the popular Comedy Central series "Chappelle's Show" has been suspended and its third season's premiere indefinitely delayed.

Comedy Central issued a statement Wednesday, saying: "All parties are optimistic that production will resume in the near future."

The season will not start May 31 as originally scheduled, the statement added.

nope, its true. some rumors are flying around that he hasnt even shot anything in the past few weeks and that he is have a 'nothing we write is good enough'-mentality at the moment. btw, the release of season 2 dvd has been suspended indefinetly also (the article probably mentions that also)

The release of Season II on DVD was delayed to coincide with the start of Season III on Comedy Central.

Now that that's been suspended indefinitely... they need to make with the releasing. Post-haste!

If that's true then maybe it's better to wait rather than have mediocre shows...

I'd agree that it's funny. Sometimes. Maybe even often. There have been some stinkers for sketches and some of them either go too far, or not far enough.

Chappelle's Show - News Story Incorrect - Season 2 still coming

We've received a flurry of emails letting us know that Chappelle's Show Season 2 has been pushed back. The news, first sent to us by Daniel Wasserman, came from a story that came from E! Online, and ran on Yahoo!

Here's a quote from the story:
The first season currently ranks as the all-time top-selling TV show on DVD. (Paramount has indefinitely pushed back the release of the second season--the studio hopes to time the DVD to the start of season three.)
That quote contains two incorrect statements. 1) The first season of the show is not the best-selling TV-DVD set; that belongs to Seinfeld. 2) Paramount/Comedy Central have not delayed the release of season 2, which is still set to be released on May 24.

We wanted to look into this ourselves before we passed along incorrect information, and we were very happy when Paramount told us the information from the article was wrong, and that the season 2 plans were still going ahead.

and the review dvd's were sent out also, so there are copies floating around out there. so it looks like the season 2 dvd is still coming out on may 24th. but im now reading people's reports that dave has gone off the deep-end, and he may be having a bit of a drug problem also. all speculation at the moment, but i guess we'll see what happens.

the show is pretty raw, so if you don't have that kind of sense of humor you won't like it... but you gotta admit the Rick James and Charlie Murphy story is the funniest dam thing on tv.
