Anybody had luck getting Newegg to change shipping address in transit?

I need to have a package delivered to a different address than I ordered it to. I called Newegg today and they told me they couldn't do it because it wasn't a verified address, but then they told me that they could have done it if I had specified it when I ordered but that they couldn't do it not because it was in transit, then they told me that they couldn't have done it at all. The CSR had to check with someone else at one point, which makes me think that I didn't get the full/true story. Can anyone tell me what the word is on this? Has anyone had Newegg change an address for them once it's already shipped? I didn't think it'd be a big problem- they call UPS and update the info.

if you can add it as an authorized address with the form of payment you used, I dont think it would be a problem...

I asked that and she said no, but I think she might be under/mis-informed. Anybody else tried this?

Well it took a little bit of finagling and supervisor talking, but I was able to get them to change the address. Hooray!
