are canon warranty service going to deny the work or you think they can fix the camera for me? i have the reciept offcourse and bought it in april. thanks

If they see a dent, they will most likely deny the work for free. Id send it in though as you have nothing to lose really.

i have an s400 and the flash just stopped working (within the 1 year warrenty), so I mailed it to them, and like 3 weeks later they mailed it back good as new! didnt cost me a cent except for the shipping to them.

Only had bad a experience. My MV600 DV camera died 3 months after the warranty expired. It had only been used for about 3 hours total in its lifetime. Canon charges a huge amount for spare parts (CCD died in my camera) such that it's not worth repairing thus forcing you to buy the next model (MV700).

I just bought a Casio Exilim stil camera which can do unlimited video at the same quality...
