Anybody got Xfree86 binary intall scripts to work on Slackware?

Every time I've ever tried to install Xfree86 from the binary install scripts it doesn't go quite right. The thing install but every thing doesn't work (ie, I have to reinstall Xterm, kdm won't log me into a window manager, etc). Knowing this I gave up on installing via those scripts and just got the .tgz packages when they came out, which worked perfectly. The only problem is that there are no 4.0.2 tgz packages yet, and I've recently ordered a Radeon to replace my TnT2, so I need 4.0.2 for the driver. So has anyone successfully gotten there system up and running with Slackware (7.1) and Xfree86 using the install scripts (or do you know of any other way to install 4.0.2 in a slackware system)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. Found tgz packages available at linuxmafia.org. Not official Slackware Packages but they work right, so I guess I don't mind (I can just take them out and put in the official's whenever they come out).
