I finished reading "The millionaire next door" a couple weeks ago, kind of an eye opener. It really was commen sense, but still, helpful none the less.

The other day I picked up:
"The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need" by Andrew Tobias

and

"Rich Dad's Guide to Investing" by Robert Kiyosaki

Haven't taken the time to dive into them yet.

Does anybody have any other books that they found informational/useful?

Well I just got done reading "Inventing Money" by Nicholos Dunbar. Don't know how helpful it would be but pretty interesting to see how smart people can loose billions.

You might like Buffettology by Mary Buffett
The Warren Buffett Way by Robert Hagstrom
Security analysis by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd
The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham
A Random Walk Down Wall Street Burton Malkiel

Depending on what you were looking for information on I could make other suggestions.

denali, I'm really interested in books that provide information on how to invest for things such as longterm, mid range, and short term. I want to know what investment options have to offer, and what risks are generally involved with them.

I'm not so much looking for specific mutual funds, or stocks, so to speak, but just options that you have available to invest in.

It may be difficult to find a reliable/up to date book on this due to the rapidly changing market though.

Peter Lynch, One up on wall street, and Beating the Street. I think those were the titles. While the books are getting rather old, you can still learn a heck of a lot. Bob Brinker is also an amazing guy, when he says "buy" on his radio show, do it! I've never heard him to be wrong. Good Luck

Oh duh! I forgot the most important thing, I need a book that introduces you to common investing/financing terms. You know, something that gives you some insight so you don't get lost in the wall street mumbo-jumbo :)

"Buying stocks without a broker" by Chuck Carlson. He is also still involved somehow with Netstock Direct, which is an online reference source for DRIP stocks.
