Anybody got a digital photo frame?

Could I do better? Right around the price range I want to spend. Seemingly good resolution @720x480. Really now, I have no idea about these things

My wife grabbed the one from yesterday's Circuit City ad. It was 800x600 reolution, and 8" screen I think. She bought it for her Mom for Christmas, so I cant comment on how it looks until December 26.

The bad part...$50 rebate.

I'm still holding out..........till a nice-quality 8" to go below the $75 mark.

I'd go with the larger frame between the two options you posted.

Do you know the brand or model number?

My brother and I have been thinking of getting our parents a set of these for Christmas as well, the only problem is that I have a hell of a time finding specs for these things. Everytime I see a deal for some I check and the specs aren't listed on the ad/site. Of the few I've seen, there was an 11" with 320x240 resolution. I bet that would look terrible.

Any other recommendations from anyone else?

The resolution isnt listed on the CC site, but she claims the guy at CC looked it up on a website at the store, and she assures me its the 800x600. She said it looked pretty good on display at the store.

Reading the specs there reminds me of one other thing that pisses me off about these digital PICTURE frames. Why on earth do they need to support MP3s?! I can understand the video stuff in case you want to put short little clips on there, but MP3s? Comeon, stop wasting money on putting that crap in there when nobody will ever use it cause they sound like crap.

That way the frames are cheaper for me

i agree with the MP3 support. 2W speakers, though. w00t!

We got one for our aniversary- i don't know the brand off the top of my head. 640x480 resolution and I don't have to resize the photos they still look pretty good. 128mb internal memory plus it supports like 10 different cards. I will post the brand if we didn't throw the box away.

I want one. People are saying they are not ready for prime time yet but if you followed the market since they were first introduced (very expensive, sometimes subscription based, etc), it's a ripe time to buy a frame. You should look for frames with built in media card readers, auto-orientation of photos, and native resolution. I don't know why but some frame manufacturers stick abnormal resolutions that make pictures look bad. They either cut pictures off (crop) or the resolution wrong for the size frame.

My ideal frame would be WiFi and automatically grab photos from my network and Flickr.
