my sister just moved to NY (roosevelt island) for culinary school, and she asked if i knew of any cheap cable/dsl providers. would anybody be able to make a suggestion for the 212 area code? thanks in advance.
 
comcast provides great service, but it isn't available in the roosevelt island area. any other suggestions? the zip code is 10044.
 
Punch in your sister's telephone no# here. If her loop length is less than 11,000ft she would be eligible for Verizon DSL 3.0/768 @ $30 a month.
It's the best deal in the NY Metropolitan area at the moment.

thanks for the link nikamichi. unfortunately, there are no services available in her area 🙁. funny thing is that her room mates are phone subscribers of verizon also.

faenix, i checked the availability in her area, and the site returned that it is available. however, i am kind of confused. is the city roosevelt island, roosevelt, or new york? it returned new york as the city when i entered roosevelt island. thanks you all so much for your helps. it really means a lot to my sister because she practically lives on the internet.
