Bootable CD.........Use Nero.

make a dir in c:Bios and extract your bios file and awdflash into C: bios

at dos prompt after booting to cd A:<type in>c:------------->C:cd bios---------->c:bios:awdflash.exe biosfile.bin /sw /it /ch /es

or

extract .bin to C:. and at dos prompt after booting into cd a:< type>

awdflash.exe biosfile.bin /ya /ya /ya

And you should be good to go.

I use the Winflash program that comes with all newer Epox mobo's. It's much nicer than those auto update programs that usually will only let you flash official bioses. It only takes about 10 seconds, and you don't lose your current bios settings.

If you aren't sure about bootable CDs, etc, I would just open her up and attach a floppy for the flash. If the NERO disk doesn't work or something else isn't right, your screwed!!!!!!!!!! R

listen to the old saying...

IF ITS NOT BROKEN, DONT FIX IT!

thats how screwed my shuttle ak31a;)

I see that you have a MSI board, you can resurrect your board easily form a bad flash with a boot disk containing your BIOS. THis is like a fail-safe option for MSI boards and some other boards, good to have in handy....

The Last time I used LiveBIOS update on my MSI board ,I seem to remember you had two options,flash from within Windows or flash from floppy,by default it flashes from floppy on reboot,this was a few months back so it might of changed since then.

Anyway you can do it from CD like the guys have said.
