Anybody ever utilized a government auction?

You hear lots of urban legends about being able to get a drug dealer's porsche for $400 at such places.

Two questions:

1. How do you find out about them?
2. Are they really all they're cracked up to be?

I don't know about getting a drug dealers porsche for $400 but you can get some great stuff. Some of the stuff they auction off is brand new. They can range from computer equipment and accessories to office furniture and supplies.

Be prepared to outbid the professional bidders that win and sell the stuff on ebay.
