Anybody ever use LIQUID SMOKE in their cooking?

Looney

Lifer
What is it, and where can i find it? I just spent an hour going through 3 different supermarkets, and asking numerous help, but none of them knew what it was and where i could find it.

i've never used it in cooking, but one time i put some in my brother's coke and he ended up puking... it was pretty funny

Where'd you get it? Normal supermarket, or do i need to go to some ethnic market for it (and if so, which one).

Ive used it.. its not all that great. You can get it in the marinade sections normally of the super market.
it ads a smoked flavor to steaks or whatever.. its really not all that good.

damn, wonder why i couldn't find it. 2 of the supermarkets, i covered every inch of the place TWICE, and couldn't find it. 🙁

its a small bottle.. maybe you just keep overlooking it.. it reminds me of a tabasco shaped bottle.

I use it to roast pork. You should be able to get it at any supermarket. They vary in location; sometimes I find it above the meat case, near the butcher, and sometimes I find it near the mayo, mustart, catsup, etc. It usually comes in a very small bottle, and most markets don't carry much of it, so you'll have to look hard.
