Has anybody ever used the dynamat(sound deadaning material used for cars and stereo systems)to help quiet a computer.I am not talking about completly covering the interior of the computer but just covering the inside of the door(the removable side)of the computer case.Has anybody done this before and has it helped? Anyone see a problem with it? I am not worried about the stuff catching fire as it is designed to go on the floorboards, doors, etc of a car and can take some high heat.

Thanks for any info.

While I haven't used it I heard it does a decent job at reducing noise. The downside is that it makes your case very heavy and if you ever move to a new case you get to re-mod all over again.

go to cases & cooling and search for noise, quiet, and dynamat. You'll find plenty of people that have done it.
