Anybody ever rebuild a Mitsubishi 6g72

My dad blew up his Stealth, so now we have to rebuild it. He wants to go full on performance with it, so I was wondering if anybody here had rebuilt a 6G72 from a Stealth/3000GT and had any tips to share for making it a semi-performance engine. I already know it's going to cost a lot, it's highly likely we need full head work done (valves, machining) and the entire bottom end is likely to need replaced.

Can't offer any tips but will wish you luck on the whole process.. that engine is a handful.

Yea, I've been to 3SI. They're not very helpful, but some of the topics have a few good pieces here and there.

How much of a "handful" am I looking at?
