in GTA3 and the NFSU2 demo, i get these weird triangles and sometimes in both games. Then i restart and its fine. Anything 3d looks like that, for example the rotating 350Z in NFSU2 in the menu. I'm not OCing either. Using drivers 70.42's since everything else has the same problem.
Thanks,
Kishan

it only happens sometimes. usually when I restart, it works again, so it might be a heat issue??

It could be overheating; try lowering the graphic details (to make the card work less) and see if it still happens. Also check the temp of the card when it starts happening.

i usually leave it on at "3D Mark Specs" meaning turning basically everything to application controlled or off, and image quality to high performance like how 3dmark should run.

Sounds like a defective card assumeing your case cooling is respectable, underclocking it would probably help.

good airflow in my case. I'm keepng my room warm now since I'm about to go to sleep and its at 35C. I have my card OCed to 400/800 and it is currently at 51C, at heavy load at 57C. Anybody ever RMA to BFG? I don't have a spare video card on hand though, and not having a computer is a strange thing to me now. HL2!!!! in 2 weeks.

I had a similar problem with my EVGA 6800 ultra and turned out it was not getting enough power. Try a dedicated line from your PSU mabey.

Well hell, there is your problem, turn down your clockspeeds and you should be fine.
