Hmm Getting pulled over doing 145? You would have to work at Mcdonald's 60 years to pay for that fine. I also doubt that you would be able to obtain a license after you got out of jail.

I sense major Bull$hit here

$16,000 bail fine, and my mom convinced the judge to put me on probation for 6 months because she needed me to have a license. It was quite the effort, but I escaped with my license. At least they didn't find out I was racing a dodge avenger. Same with the 120 ticket, although that time I was seriously trying to get away from what I thought to be a maniac following me in a red dodge ram, I passed him on a double yellow and thought he got mad at me...He pulled out in front of me and I didn't feel like hitting his ass-end :/ It was only a $300 fine that time, he didn't write me for the passing in double yellow.

You're insane. Thank god you live way over there. We have enough loonies over here.

I think I saw you, or perhaps the same undercover cop. I was on my way to IKEA on Sunday morning.

I just got one by being paced by a cop in some podunk township here in TX on my way back from Houston. F*cking $286 for 20 over in a completely deserted highway.

since no one has mentioned it yet

since you have a clean record.. go to court, plead guilty with explanation, you'll get off with a year probation and court costs.

tada

Maybe the program is f'd on the cops car. Its supposed to be abel to subtract the cops cars speed from your speed. In texas if you ask for a printout and they don't give it to you then your in luck.

Yeah some cop gave me a ticket on my motorcycle one time with the same BS.

I wonder though if you might have bigger than stock tires on that Nova? I used to have an old mustang with the drag racer look and had tires an inch or two bigger diameter than stock on it. It made my speedo read low so I had to be careful to actually go under the speed limit when a cop was nearby.

But I am not saying you were speeding, like others said if their revenue is low they will make up any excuse to ticket ya.

Plead not guilty, guilty w/explanation is a waste of time. Ask for and check the calibration date on her certificate. In Virginia their speedometer has to be recalibrated every 6 months. Go to the law library, in the court house, and look up your offense number. Make a copy. You've got a 50/50 chance that her certificate is old. If so, your outta there. If not, appeal and take it to circuit court. Good chance the system will screw up at this point.

I was heading to Orland from daytona one late night and I could see a car behind me but not gaining so i went faster and faster until i was up to 95 mph.. Then I looked over at my girlfreind and said this guy wants to race.. I slowed down to 70 to let him catch up and on came the lights.. lol.. it was the state police.. He pulled me over and gave me a ticket.. 150 fine.. 30 day suspenson.. driving classes ..

I think i could have beat him in a race.. lol.. this was back in 1985..

Got me a ticket too for "passing a state trooper". I was merging onto an interstate moving from the slow lane to the center lane. Cop was in the "fast lane". Anyways, I merged onto the center lane and sped up a little (like most people do) and then on came the lights...

Apparently, it's illegal to pass a state trooper?!? I don't know how fast I was going, but it probably wasn't a heck of a lot faster than the flow of traffic. I think he just gave me a ticket coz I was from out of state and knew I was just going to pay it instead of appealing it in court...all he wrote on the ticket was "unsafe speed" but didn't specify a speed...was only a $45 fine which really is nothing, but I was kinda ticked off since I was late for a business dinner because he decided to take half an hour to write me up...
