Anybody ever dealt with CDW before?

So, I broke down and pre-ordered an X800 XT from cdw.com (I'm sure most of you have already seen this). I checked the reseller ratings before doing so, but the testimonials are pretty hit or miss. There is one guy talking about building a server cluster with a bad experience, but this doesn't really translate to my needs as a home user. Anybody dealt with them before? Did I just screw up? I tried to go for both the Gateway deal and the one at Zipzoomfly, but missed them both (damn job getting in the way), so I went with the next best price break. The way I see it, the 6800's don't look like they will be available anytime soon, and they look like they are going to be more expensive so I figured that I might as well get in line for the XT somewhere. I jusy hope I don't end up getting my card in August, or worse, a huge run around.

it says that these xt's won't ship for "+2 weeks" not sure if thats much of an improvement.

I agree, but you can't even place an order at zip or gateway. This whole thing wih the availability of these chips has really been kinda a bummer. I mean, roughly 75-100% performance gains over the last gen, but no availability. Sad that "+2 weeks" is the best I can do. As long as CDW is straight up about it, 2-4 weeks isn't bad really. The price is certainly decent considering that X800 Pro's and even 9800 XT's are selling for over $400 at many retailers.

That CDW link has been known for a while. I'd expect "2+" weeks to mean more than a month, but I may be wrong. Still, even a month isn't that long to wait for an XT at that price. You're basically lowering its depreciation right from the start.

Yeah, I'll just have to wait and see. At least I have my name on a list for one of these. If they become avaialble in quantities elsewhere for an equally good deal, it seems that I will have plenty of time to cancel the order.
