Anybody ever dealt with Alert pay?

I got an offer to buy a sound card that I posted on Craig's list from a guy, and the service he uses is called alert pay. Everything is setup almost identically to paypal, but I've never heard of it. Can anybody vouch for this service?

Sounds like a scam, IMHO, I'd steer clear.

I wouldn't trust it. I've heard of it before, but I think it's always ended up being a scam.

Certainly don't ship it out of the country - even if he's offering to pay you for shipping or use his account.

There's a big discussion on it in a scam.com thread. Seems to be questionable. That discussion starts over a year ago, so you might want to scroll down a ways.
