just wondering if I should buy a system from them or Dell? This is for my parents in another state so I won't be able to build one myself

Get them a Dell for their support.

If I bought my folks a Dell, I'd hear bvtching every day about how they cannot understand the people at Dell India and how the on-site tech erased everything. I'd have to support them anyway. So I just build them machines.

Their accents aren't really that bad from what I've seen, some of you guys need to record these conversations because I personally think some of AT just overreacts...

Whether or not the accents are understandable is not the point, the point is that the jobs were outsourced.

Because Americans aren't competitive in the job market anymore? Let's go to P/N.

i think that having them build it themselves is a good option. buy the pieces fo rhtem and have newegg ship them to their door directly. I handed my mom a stack of working parts and had her, with no experience, put it together. Stuff can only go one place one direction, its pretty straightforward. A little guide can go a long way and make sure they plug the fans in 😉.

Having dealt with friends prebuilt machines, they simply arent worth it.

You guys are so weird... Dealing with tech support with accents is worse than NO tech support? Grow up guys, some of you folks from the south have accents that this Northerner can't understand.

(P.S. one of my best friends has a thick souther accent, i'm just trying to make a point)
