The "winner" does not, no. The audience supposedly voted enough times for Vanilla Ice that he "won" the competition. The winner picks a charity and the show donates $20,000 to that charity in the winner's name.

Was actually interesting.

Anybody else notice that haddaway has a crappy voice? If I didn't see him on stage and I heard it on the radio I'd think "Man this guy's doing a crappy impression of that song." Too much golf for him!

LOL @ Vanilla Ice. He says how lucky he is to still be doing it...doing what? NOBODY buys his music anymore. Good for him on winning, though I wish he'd have realized that ten years ago the one pant leg up thing lost style.

I feel bad that the 867-5309 guy is now a software developer. That's really depressing.

Anyway overall it's not bad.

Cool idea though. It's a blast from the past. I want them to get ini kamooze up there. "here come the hot steppaaaa. I'm the lyrical gangstaaaa" :)

Last week's episode was pretty bad, IMO. But I thought that Arrested Development's version of "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys was actually really good. I'm glad they won, since all the other remakes were terrible.

Yes, most of the remakes are just terrible, terrible. That woman who redid the song by nora jones shoulid be summarily killed.

They need montel jordan up there "This is how we do it!" :)

Jeez such a flashback with some great music. This is awesome. I missed it last week, but this week's pretty good so far -with all of two artists and 10 minutes into it. I'm not so sure how I'm going to like the old artists doing new titles, but we'll see I guess.

What is love :music:

Skip the female singers and all of the second half of the show with the exception of Tutone's rendition of Blink182 and Vanilla Ice's last performance. Cut out the rest of the show and it would have been perfect.
