<edit> no I'm not looking at pron!

I've been noticing the same thing. I used to never get popups in Firefox, but for the past week or so the rate has been increasing quickly. I think the spam companies are realizing what a market that Firefox has, so they're writing their popup scripts to work on Firefox.

Expect the rate to increase drastically.

This was the correct answer. Advertisers have found a way to get around FF recognizing pop-ups as such. I'm not an expert on how, but have read about it in other forums, too. Google can probably provide more insight. As usual, the "bad guys" are staying one step ahead and we're all forced to play catch-up to maintain our user-friendly Internet experience. 🙁 :|

yea, I've gotten 3-4 in the past month. And the most annoying thing is since I have tabbed browsing, everytime there's a popup, my window size shrinks to really, really small...

No popups. I have an awesome adblock file!

I've given it to some of the worst offenders (porn junkies) and they say it's so good I could charge for it. LOL

Since I have installed Firefox, I haven't installed Flash, and I don't see any popups or really annoying ads like on the main AT page (seriously, I hated going there with IE -- now I just see "Install Plug-in" 😉 ).

I have started getting a couple - "Check your system for spyware" I check it with adaware and spybot and they pick up nothing...
