I guess this must be the fourth game in Stardock's "Elemental" series, but it plays a little differently than the last one (Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes) to me. Sorcerer King is a much more focused game with really one main victory condition (defeat the Sorcerer King). The gameplay is still a mix of 4X and RPG styles with a good dose of humor thrown in.
I haven't had a ton of time to play as my office was out of commission for about a month, but I have played two games to completion and I am really enjoying it so far. I like the fact that this is a much more focused game that isn't as much about city spam / build huge army / slog it out to the end. There is still plenty of fighting, but I played an entire game without being at war with any of the other factions, just the Sorcerer King himself. That is sort of a refreshing change from the typical 4X game where I tend to get bogged down in the late-middle stages.
Anyhow, haven't seen this one mentioned yet so I thought I'd throw it out there.
