Anybody else notice that mods tend to not lock threads until users start getting mad about the off-topic post?

I've seen many clearly off-topic(evil) being left alone for days because no one posted a reply. Then one someone replies and flames or causes someone else to flame by bringing it to the top. It is then locked.

I like to believe Anandtech follow most of their users. If we don't have a problem with a minorly(not a word) off-topic thread, they won't either.

frag...

it is not just that... the mods don't always read every topic & every post in an instant...

If they see an untoward topic they usually bust it right away.

If you start a thread with a title like "It's cold today" & then put porn links inside. It will get busted... but it may take a while.

If you start with an obnoxious title. It will get seen sooner, by and large.

Still busted, either way.

I'm not sure how many Mods there are but like cxim said, there are a lot of people here and a ton of threads so it just takes a while before they can look them all over and toss the bad ones out.
