I really, really miss the Gamecube days. I guess it's because it was the last time Nintendo was on an even-keel hardware wise with the competition. Since then they have carved out their own niche and I haven't bought any of their products unfortunately.

I really miss the Gamecube and the days in general when Nintendo was competitive with the other major consoles.
 
n64 was the peak of nintendo and everything from there has gotten progressively worse imo. gc was decent but i liked n64 more. wii worse than gc, and wii u worse than wii.
 
I never got the Gamecube when it was out, but I did get a Wii, and have ended up playing more GC games on it than Wii games lol. I still think the N64 was overrated.
 
It was ok the controller was something else ^_^ I had a gc and the original Xbox at the time and really stayed with the Xbox even gc was good. Wouldn't miss it though Nintendo lost it. I always enjoyed the game boy!
 
Never had a gamecube or N64, but did play them both a lot at friends' houses. I did like the GC more than the 64 because I liked the controller. I wasn't sold on the non-symmetric face buttons but they were okay.
 
What are some must-play games on GC? I thought about getting some for my Wii but nothing ever comes to mind as a must play.

I tried the Zelda on an emulator to see if I should buy it, but I didn't like it.

Eternal darkness, but iirc it didn't work right on the wii for some reason.

Ocarina is an n64 title. Must have been a rerelease on gc. I can never decide if Mario 64 or ocarina are better games they are both my favorite n64 games.
 
Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime, and Zelda: Wind Waker were the only titles really worth getting on GC. Can't really think of anything else that is a must have.

One of my best Gamecube hauls all complete with like new discs and manuals, reg cards, etc.

I was initially skeptical because of the cell shading and art style (especially coming from Majora's Mask, which was extremely dark in theme), but once I started playing it, I was very happy I had.

The cell shading allowed them to make a huge world and the core gameplay was great. The story was not awful either.

Glad I got it before a asshole reseller. 1/3 of my GameCube collection in one shot.

Always know when a reseller or picker has been there when they leave all the sports games and cherry pick the games worth selling. Anything with "Mario" or "Zelda" on it would sit at a swapmeet or on craigslist for $100 for all eternity instead of being enjoyed.

I trying to get another controller for my n64, never owned a GC but played at my friends house for hours. I was really into the gameboy/GBC/Gameboy advanced- so many great games. So recently started collecting old gameboy games/color/advanced. So when i have children they can play games that actually were great.
