Chalk up another Alabama man here at AT. I was born and raised in Birmingham (although I plan on moving to Fairhope,AL when I retire) and moved back to B'ham after graduating from UA a couple years ago. So yes, add yet ANOTHER Bama fan to the mix. I guess we're all starting to get pretty hyped up about football season right about now :D I don't know what's going to happen with the whole NCAA mess, but what I DO know is that I'm going to be there for the UCLA game. I can't wait! I'm actually planning on knocking off work early on Friday to go out and play round of golf in the afternoon before heading out to the Strip Friday night. God I love football season . . .

Only later did you discover that it wasn't much of an upset :D You guys were certainly on fire that day (even without your starting QB) and certainly beat us senseless. I'm being cautiously optimisitic about our chances this year, but will still be witholding my final judgement of the program until we're a few games into the season. If nothing else, we at least won't have to shake our heads in embarassment when our head coach is interviewed.

...because playing UCLA will be a tremendous challenge, but a tremendous opportunity...
...and playing USM will be a tremendous challenge, but a tremendous opportunity...
...and Vanderbilt is a tremendous challenge, but a tremendous opportunity...

It is a state, Aaron. It's just a state with fewer members than your state - the state of ignorance.

I can't believe people from Wisconsin and Ohio are making fun of Alabama. The Midwest isn't exactly a cultural mecca.

I'm in Daleville (outside the Ft. Rucker gate). BTW Kritos, did you know that all US Army helicopter pilots are trained in Alabama, by people that live in Alabama?

yeah...we had so much potential last year though...<sigh> then injuries caught up with us and we let games slip away. It was pretty disappointing to see Bama falter after the UCLA game because it kinda cheapened the victory a bit ya know? I'd have prefered if Bama went on to win every other game after that. I think bama will rebound cuz they always rebound...but I hope UCLA wins!!! ;)

Wisconsin is a cultural mecca what you talkin about?

Just because 90% of our state smells like cow sh*t doesn't make us unsophisticated. Ohh wait, it does. NM
