Anybody else having trouble connecting to steam?

I can't seem to connect to steam using the steam client, although I can browse to the website and login just fine.

At first I thought maybe some kind of virus or something because today randomly I started getting a weird error after logging into windows, it says "Error, Wrong Username or Password" (screenshot here http://drop.io/wf9da4m6812 ). The error isn't descriptive of anything.

The is a pretty fresh install and I haven't installed any shady software or browsed to any shady sites. Microsoft Security Essentials says I'm clean.

I also tried connecting steam on a few other computers unsuccessfuly, although all these computers are on the same network.

I'm on it right now through the client with no problems

Did you have a steam update today? That seems to be when the trouble started.

Yes, I DL'd a update and had to restart when I logged on earlier today

Hmmm, well I connected to a VPN and then tried to sign on and it worked, then I signed off and disconnected the VPn and it appears to be working now.

I was still having connection problems but a router reboot fixed everything.
