Anybody else have any problem with the Philips Acoustic Edge Rebate?

I just got a message from Philips saying that I did not send them my original UPC when I know for a fact that I did. Fortunately, I made a photo copy of everything which I can show them. I was just wondering if anyone else got the same message from them?

I got the same card also. When I checked on rebateshq, It stated that they didn't have the serial number of the card. I am going to resubmit my rebate information with the # off the card. I'll post an update when I find out more.
 
yep, i received a postcard in the mail today (monday) from philips saying the same thing. and i also know i included the original upc from the box in the envelope. thankfully, like you, as with all mail-in rebates, made a photocopy as well. i'd say this is looking like more than just a coinkydink.

I got mine from amazon, mine was rejected stating Amazon was not a participating vendor. someone else on the hotdeals forum complained of this a while back also.
 
Okay...here's the deal with the AE rebate, I called Philips and what happened is that the company we sent our submissions to (in Coppell, TX) no longer handles Philips' rebates. Philips itself is taking over handling the rebates. The postcard is simply a computer-generated reply sent by the old company reflecting the fact that they no longer handle the Philips' rebates. The customer service person I spoke to said I should ignore the postcard and that I should receive my rebate within the 8 week timeframe (which is another 4 weeks for me). Of course, I'm going to be hanging on to my photocopies, just in case.
