Anybody else got an Asus board made in China?

I just bought a used CUSL board in Tokyo and was surprised to find it is made in China (Rev. 1.02). I thought all the Asus boards were made in Taiwan. Anybody know of any other of their boards made in China? I bet maybe the A7V133-Cs.

Wasn't Asus alerting people to counterfeit boards a while back? But this board came in retail box with manual and everything.

You're correct Piasabird, I e-mailed Asus and they told me they have a 4 million square foot plant in China, so they said the board is probably legit.

Besides, I just realized if it was a fake board, the counterfeiters would probably have the sense to put 'Made in Taiwan' on there 🙂.

However I'm in Japan and I see a lot of used boards. This is the first made in China Asus I've seen. Hopefully the quality control is as good as the Taiwan plant.

Made in China = more profit for Asus.

I believe they do the R&D in Taiwan and produce first few batches in Taiwan then once the product matures they move the production to China to save $
