Anybody else going to be reading Knife of Dreams?

I know this series has gotten a little tired, and I'll be the first to admit that the last installment was absolutely HORRIBLE, but I'm still really looking forward to this next book. Some early reviews are out and are all very positive.

I decided to preorder the book from Amazon with a $25 GC I had lying around, and my order shipped today! I guess I'll be receiving the book the day it is released, Oct 11th.

Anyone else going to be buying this book?

I guess I'll read it. But I won't buy it till it hits paperback.

And yes, the last book was so poor I still haven't purchased it.

I just completed the last book, and it was quite boring. I want to know if Perrin ever gets his wife back, and if Mat ever marries the seanchan woman.

i heard this series is good..so how far into the series does it begin to fall apart?

is it still worth it to pick up the first few books?

The first 6 are fantastic, IMO. 7 and 8 are a little slow, 9 is good, and 10 is awful. Pick up the first book (The Eye of the World) to get a feel for the series. If you like that one you will like at least the first few books.

I intend to read it, only because I have put so much effort into it already, and it HAS to pick back up soon, how much longer can he write with out anything happening.

The series never actually falls apart IMHO, it just starts to get slower and slower. It is like watching a movie and then the last 10 mins of the movie being streached over for an hour in slow motion.

i am listening to this series during my commute and i am thouroghly enjoying them. I am about halfway through book 5 and its great so far.

i highly suggest this route as the descriptions of the environment can get really drawn out and repetative. the stroy is fantastic but this book is far better through audio then through reading.

crap. I've read the other ten. The first 2 were the only ones worth reading. If it actually advances the story maybe I'll read it, but there hasn't been a major event in forever with that damn series.
