A while back, I RMA'd some RAM through eWiz.com (still doesn't work..bleh)...

Hi Josh,

Please fill out and submit an RMA form under the "help center" link on our website and one of our RMA department managers will get back to you regarding this. Please contact our RMA department if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.

Best regards,

Apparently our eWiz CSR now has a new employer, because I just got this from the same person...

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that I work for OCZ Technology now which is a HUGE memory manufacturer, so if you need any memory deals please contact me! Also, OCZ just bought PC Power & Cooling power supplies in May, 2007, so we also have great pricing on power supplies as well. Please contact me by phone or email if you need any specific pricing. I can beat eWiz's or the competitor?s pricing on ANY quantity orders. TRUST ME! =)

www.pcpower.com

Best regards,
etc.

I still need to RMA that RAM..again..maybe I'll have to buy OCZ next time instead of Super Talent. :p

This made me click on your site. As a result, I have this OT unasked-for advice: I highly recommend Specialized's Armadillo tires to reduce flats. I ride road about 2500 miles a year and have gotten one flat in the three years I've been using these tires. That's down from about a flat a month prior. The downside: they're expensive tires.

Edit: Oh, and I've used a Clif bar wrapper, a dollar bill, and a bandanna at various times when I've sliced a sidewall to prevent the tube coming out and popping like you describe. Not ideal, but it got me home. Just put the (whatever) between tube and tire.

Hey now, I run OCZ memory, it runs perfectly fine. I also have an OCZ powersupply, quiet as anything and solid as a rock, running 24/7 for over 6 months now.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I was told about the dollar bill trick the next day. If I was just a little more experienced (or smarter), I would have figured it out on the road. Well, you live and you learn right?

Also, thanks for the tire tip. My tires were $35 and about 6 weeks old. They weren't worn or cheap. With the amount of damage done, I don't think any tires could have stood up to it.

Latest update - OCZ is working with eWiz and their (OCZ's) IT department is making sure she deletes all her contacts. I am surprised she still gets to keep her job.

"eWiz giving away customer data" is way off the mark as she obviously just pilfered the contacts when she left. I thought the email was innappropriate too and wouldn't buy anything from OCZ or PPCC anyway.

Hi Guys,

This is not how OCZ does business and also OCZ does not sell directly to end users.
Yesterday was Christine's first day in her new position and she has great enthusiasm for the task. The situation has been dealt with and explained why it was a mistake.

Please do not expect any more emails of this nature from OCZ and we thank you for your understanding.
