Anybody else amazed at the weakness of gravity?

Gravity is so pathetically weak... every time a kid drops a cookie, I laugh at gravity's failed attempt to keep the cookie stuck to the ground when the kid picks it up...

I think gravity pwned you when you were about 2 years old, which would help explain these ridiculous threads.

If it's so weak, you shouldn't have much to fear about jumping off of a sky scraper, should you?

Please do.

Have a friend drop a sledgehammer from 10 feet in the air onto your face.

Then come back and reply with the results (If your eyes work, that is)

Don't worry, when the Earth eventually gets sucked into a black hole all your atoms will be touching each other.

This is a valid topic. Ask any physicist and they will tell you the same thing: it's weird 'ow gravity is so weak compared to the other forces.

If some of you don't understand what I'm talking about, I will be glad to explain it. Can anyone else back me up on this? I'm sure some of you know physics....

he is right though. gravity is a very weak force in nature. there are lots of other stronger forces...like the force of me punching you in the face

Poor study sample.

Jump off a build and then get back to us about the power of gravity.

Wow....WWYBYWB....?

How is your All American Award?

Are you off the drugs yet?

Maybe we should demonstrate how strong O2 is in comparison by putting a plastic bag over you head while you jump of a building?

I've seen that acronym a few times. What does that mean?

And for the people who think I'm just being an idiot:

"Given all that celestial drama, it may seem surprising that one of the great mysteries of modern physics is why gravity is so incredibly weak compared to the other forces of nature."

9.8m/s^2 is no joke. Go to a supermarket get a cart and try to push it at 9.8m/s^2 for 5 sec and then come back.
