Anybody else addited to the history channel?

History channel is where it's at. Although a friend of mine at school noticed that they do a disproportional amount of programming on the 3rd Reich and started calling it the "Hitler channel."

Yup, the only 3 channels I watch anymore are the History Channel, History International, and Discovery Science. I haven't watched anything other than these three channels for over 2 or 3 months. Nothing else on TV really seems to be worth watching. Occasionally I'll watch the Travel Channel when they have something besides Las Vegas or poker on.

History International is where it's at. The History Channel seems to be steadily going downhill to join the ranks of the Discovery Channel and TLC (both of which I have long since abandoned, which sucks because they both used to be good). Although the History Channel still shows good stuff, I see more and more ghost stories type shows and also the history of sex type shows. History International shows all the good stuff, all the time. There are no "Ghost of England" or "Dildos in WW2" type shows, and they are more documentary oriented with less flashy stuff and comic relief (I.E. R Lee Erney, whom I cannot stand). I think all of this show America's growing AD(H)D problem, and how no one can sit through a documentary or any type of show that does not involve humor or something flashy happening every 5 seconds. I live in the dorms and all I hear is complaining when I have the History Channel on (which isn't often because I hardly ever watch TV anymore). This is exactly why the Discovery Channel and TLC are so popular now. TLC is absolutely NOTHING but designer shows, and Discovery is nothing but forensic (sp?) shows and car related shows. I dare you to turn on either station and see if what is on fits into either of those categories. I'd be willing to be it does. Long gone are the days that The Discovery Channel was about National Geographic Explorer and other quality shows, and in it's place is American Chopper and other shows for all of you with ADD. 😛

I'm addicted to the history channel - I want Sam Waterston back. I spend 0 hours per week watching network TV, several hours per week watching History Channel, A&E, and Discovery Channel.

i love watchin that channel, if it wasnt for my gf's whining i would never change the channel

Discovery Wings!

Another good one, but I hardly ever watch it anymore. Occasionally they will have a space program on that I will tune into, but I'm not enough of an air buff to watch it very often. I do respect them for not having any reality shows or that sort of thing though.

I love the History Channel. I also like watching stuff on WWII, except they play less and less of that now and more and more Modern Marvels (which I hate). Most of the time, Modern Marvels is just a rebadged other show, but still I dislike it.

History's Mysteries is my favorite though. I should look into History International.

LOL, I call it the Hitler channel as well "All Hitler, all the time". It's actually gotten better and I see more Third Reich shows on History international now. Anyway, Yes, the history channel is great.

Just watched last night on Great Raids how the British used a spinning bomb that would bounce across the water to blow up 2 German dams in WW2. Was incredible what they did, almost 50% of the bombers that went on the mission didn't make it back. The normal loss rate was only 2%.
