I am in the process of upgrading my home server and while I have had several good suggestions in the mATX mini tower category I have also found the Lian Li PC-V354 which is a bit more of a unique case. Althought the price is a bit up there for my tastes, the case does offer quite a few internal 3.5" bays and I have to admit the unique look has me intrigued. Just curious if any people here have used the case and what their experiences are with it (ease of build, any pitfalls to look out for etc.).

I have one as my current main gaming rig. Mine is a simple set up however. Not overclocked, one GPU, one, hdd. The H50 cooling the 2500k is in push pull set up however. It sits nicely ontop of my desk. About as big of a case as you will want ontop of a desk. If you take yours apart regularly go and buy the thumb screws because the stock screws are very small and can easily get lost. I have all thumbscrews on mine and it gives it a frankenstein look which i rather like. If you want clean and elegant stick to the stock screws but buy extra. The mobo attaches to the side so if you are not familiar with that it can be a bit strange the first time you put it together. At least it was for me. Case cooling is more than adequate but I removed the one cage for better air flow. again, mine is a simpler set up with only one hdd. I also ordered the optical bracket that holds the slim optical and the hdd together to give it more open area for airflow below that. My psu is large though because I wanted it to be CF ready if I needed more GPU (2x6950) horsepower in the future.

Thanks Skott. I am going to give it a shot and see how it works for a small server.
