Anybody a weather spotter? I wanna be one

As title suggests. I know just enough about weather and clouds to be dangerous. I love watching them roll in and know what a rear flank downdraft and wall cloud is. The scout in me wants to help.

Ask local news station or closest NWS office , I'll occasionally see one of the local stations say they are putting on a storm spotter class.

Guess you don't listen to weather radio during bad storms. Spotters are the best eyes out there. Radar indicated cant beat eyes.

Time to learn ham radio.

And in local news today, the police were called, when a man began shooting at a rain cloud. When the local authorities approached the man, he had this to say; "Look at that cloud right there!! It's clearly black and quite menacing!! Aren't you guys going to arrest it for attempting to rob and murder me!! I bet it has a weapon hiding in it's mediocris!!"

The cloud was later spotted pouring down some rain on clear plain, by the very same man claiming it was menacing, whereby he stated; "What if there was a play ground there?!"
