I currently use the DFE-910 networking kit on my home system and yes
it is switched. I've found it to be fast reliable and easy to set
up. I've been using it for several months now without a problem. We
like to play Need For Speed over the Lan and it works like a charm.
If you are hooked up to Cable or DSL you might want to consider
the D-Link DI-704 Cable router which I just purchased in anticipation
of soon getting cable service. It provides a hardware firewall and
has four 10/100 ports so it will act as a hardware firewall for the internet and also a switched hub for your Lan.
