I had a Zalman MFC2 for roughly a year and a half and I really wish I hadn't given it away. I'm on my second MFC3 and both units I had wouldn't run my fans at full speed. I run three 3000rpm scythe fans and on the MFC2 i had no problem running them at full speed when needed, but with both MFC3 units they max out around 2000-2200rpm. Zalman's tech support has been useless, they told me to make sure the fans were within spec but the numbers look the same to me for both units so I can't understand why they work properly for the MFC2 and not the MFC3. They didn't respond to that when I asked them why.
Anyone here have any issues with these controllers? And if so, whats a good alternative to the Zalman fan controllers that people are generally happy with?
